Village Christian Foundation was created by The Village Church to provide support for its philanthropic and planned giving goals.  The Board of Directors include CPAs and others with strong business acumen, who volunteer their time and expertise to help us provide ongoing ministry to Rancho Santa Fe for generations to come.

Jerry M. Harris, Chairman
Jerry’s passion in life is to assist fellow Christians become joyful givers to support the Lord’s work. He took his Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Virginia in 1973 and put it to use as a Naval aviator flying F-14 Tomcats from the decks of Navy aircraft carriers then later as an adversary pilot in the Navy reserves at NAS Miramar, California before retiring with the rank of Captain. In his civilian life, Jerry earned a Masters Degree in Information Systems from the University of Southern California while enjoying careers as a pilot with Delta Airlines as well as a partner in a private global investment firm. Now a certified “trifecta retiree”, he is an Elder of the Village Presbyterian Church where he has led and served for many years on the Stewardship Committee. Additionally, Jerry is the Mission Advocate for the San Diego Presbytery and a member of its Missions / Evangelism Committee. He regularly travels to Mombassa, Kenya where he sponsors the development of churches, schools and medical clinics in East Africa in coordination with the Outreach Foundation and local Presbyterian organizations. He supports the local military veterans’ community as a docent on the USS Midway Aircraft carrier museum and has served as a member of the advisory board for the Freedom is NOT Free foundation.
Jerry and his wife of 39 years, Susan, reside in Rancho Santa Fe where they have been members of The Village Church since 1995. Their son, “MJ”, attended the Village Church Pre-School and was an active member of the youth programs prior to enrolling in Texas Christian University. He is due to graduate from TCU in May 2012 and be commissioned a Second Lieutenant in the United States Marine Corps.

Hugh Greenway, MD is the chairman of Mohs and dermatologic surgery at Scripps Clinic. He was fellowship trained in Mohs Skin Cancer Surgery by Dr. Frederic E. Mohs at the University of Wisconsin and has performed more than 31,000 Mohs surgery cases at Scripps Clinic for skin cancers of all types.With more than 30 years of clinical experience, Dr. Greenway has brought a wealth of expertise and recognition to Scripps Clinic.
In recognition for his clinical and teaching roles, Dr. Greenway has received numerous accolades over the years. His most recent recognitions include being named to the “Best Doctors in America” and “America’s Top Doctors for Cancer” lists.

Steve Dunn, Secretary
Dunn is the President of Romar Company a real estate development, brokerage, and property management company, which he founded in Kansas City, Missouri. Since 1980, Romar Company has brokered over 5 million square feet of commercial/industrial real estate transactions, and developed over 2 million square feet of commercial/ industrial buildings. Dunn obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Architectural Engineering from the University of Colorado in 1969 and a Masters of Science in Engineering Management from the University of Alaska in 1972.
Dunn has been involved in various positions at the Rancho Santa Fe Association, the RSF Golf Club, the Bishop’s School and the University of Colorado. He is the Board Chairman of Reality Changers, a San Diego not-for-profit which nurtures young, disadvantaged students to become first generation college graduates. Dunn resides with his wife, Jennifer in Rancho Santa Fe and is an Elder of the Village Community Presbyterian Church. They have four daughters, Robyn, Maren, Zoe and Brynne and two grand-daughters, Marguerite and Beatrice.

Rusty Frye
Rusty has been a commercial real estate investor since 2000. Prior to that, he was President/CEO of Interior Specialists, a new home design center headquartered in Carlsbad, CA. Earlier, Rusty spent 20 years in Information Systems in various management positions. Rusty served as a member of the board for the San DiegoCenter for Children Foundation and United Cerebral Palsy of San Diego County. He was Treasurer for UCP of San DiegoCounty, and was a member of the Executive Committee of the Legacy Foundation-Rolf Benirschke Golf Invitational. Rusty is an Elder at the Village Church, currently serving as the Chair of the Support Commission and Chair of the Stewardship Committee.
Rusty is married to Sharon Frye and they have attended the Village Church for 15 years. Their son, Dan, grew up in the Village Church and now attends SMU in Dallas, Texas.

Anne Feighner
Anne Feighner received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Oregon and a Master’s Degree from Washington University in St. Louis, MO. Anne has been a resident of Rancho Santa Fe for almost 40 years and, during that time, has served on a variety of Boards, including President of the RSF School Board for 2 years, President of the RSF PTO, among others. She is a Life Member of the RSF Historical Society and the RSF Library Guild as well as Founding Member of the Cap & Gown Society and RSF Cotillion. Anne is a current Director of the RSF Homeowners Association and LIfetime Trustee of the Bishop's School.
Anne is a 30-year member of the Village Church, a current Elder, and she has three children, Jenny, John Daniel, and Scott and three grand-children, Johnny, Sarah, and Julia.

Dr. Jack W. Baca, Sr. Pastor - The Village Church
Jack Baca was born and reared in Socorro, a small town south of Albuquerque, New Mexico. He received his bachelor's degree from the University of New Mexico (history major) in 1978, and his Master of Divinity (preaching concentration) from Princeton Theological Seminary in 1982. He received his Doctor of Ministry degree at Fuller Theological Seminary. Jack's first call to ministry was as associate pastor of Woodhaven Presbyterian Church in Irving, Texas. From there he became an associate at First Presbyterian Church in Albuquerque, and then senior pastor of Trinity Presbyterian Church in Tucson, Arizona.
In September of 1998, Jack assumed the senior pastorate of the Village Church. In addition to his experience with the local church, he has served on numerous presbytery and synod committees, as a national board member and vice-president of Presbyterians for Renewal, and as a commissioner and committee moderator at the 205th General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) Jack and his wife, Helen, have four children: Amanda, Robert, Heather, and Rebecca. He enjoys, but is not necessarily good at, golf. He and Helen love to entertain and travel.

Debra A. Thomas
Debra has worked in the Wealth Management business for 20 years, with Bank of America, Wells Fargo, and most recently Union Bank's Private Bank.  She specializes in providing a comprehensive wealth management offering which consists of Investments, Trusts & Estate Planning and Customized Banking, by leading a team of professionals and specialists. Specifically, Debra has worked with entrepreneurs, real estate investors, as well as high net worth individuals and their families, and therefore brings a unique and profitable perspective to the Foundation.
Previously worked in Corporate Banking and in International Treasury for Fortune 500 subsidiary. Debra currently serves on the San Diego Symphony Board and the Muscian's Pension Board, and previously served on Salvation Army Advisory Board, Lux Art Institute and La Jolla Playhouse Boards, and has served as an Elder at the Village Church.
Debra has been a resident of Del Mar, California, for over 25 years.  Her daughter currently is a Junior at the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, WA.
